My mornings before I leave the house are the most hectic part of the day. I have four kids with the youngest being a messy toddler who insists on feeding himself. There was rarely a morning that we didn't end up with cereal across the kitchen floor! When a co-worker came by to pick me up one morning, she said she could relate to my problem and that she had something she thought could help me out. The next day, she brought me a Gyro Bowl. It was kind of funny looking for a child's bowl but my co-worker promised me that it was the best thing she had ever found to use with her own kids. Gyro Bowl is an innovative design that rotates, swivels, and dips in each direction so that dry food contents are difficult to spill. The Gyro Bowl literally defies gravity by using a weighted inner bowl that rotates 360 degrees in order to catch the bowl's contents as they go from one side to the other.

Not only have my mornings gotten easier, but I have far fewer messes all the time. Gyro Bowl is even easy to clean. It's made of polypropylene plastic and is in three parts that disassemble to wash. I just wish they had come out with Gyro Bowl when I had my first three kids and I would have had a lot fewer messes to clean up!

Well, now with the Happy Nappers, we have a situation where the Play Toy can be zipped into the Play Pillow. Yep, the makers have turned the one into the other. When it's time for the pillow, the child simply zips up his or her toy into the pillow and rests away. When he or she awakes, it's time to unzip the pillow and bring out the favorite friend.

On top of that, the selection the makers have provided really is quite good. I must say that I had a difficult time choosing. They all look so cute. I went with Igloo to Penguin and Barn to Cow. I wish I'd had one when I was a child.

I have to say that the simple solutions out there that continually surface always do surprise me. Happy Nappers qualifies as just that.

I wasn't expecting anything magical out of the gyro bowl, but it really did over deliver on my expectations. Face it, you can't expect ANY contraption this accessible to a toddler to protect against any and all spillage. But it certainly will prevent a handy portion of the spills you would have had to clean up if your child was eating out of a traditional cereal bowl.

I bought a gyro bowl for my 2 year old to tote around the house. My husband got a little tired of messing with Michael's spills in the mornings before he had to leave for work, and that eventually started to wear off on me, too. The gyro bowl not only did what they said it would do in the commercial, but I find myself playing with it too sometimes. I guess it's a pretty neat toy for adults, too (so long as you are as easily amused as I am)!

I would recommend making sure you look at the quantity before you click "buy" if you're going to buy online. I recommend buying online, but just make sure you don't accidentally buy 5 of these (unless you want 5). I have a friend who ordered 3 when they meant to only order 1, but she has 2 kids anyway, so she just says that makes it one less dish she has to clean.
